Plans to change the speed limit from 40mph to 30pm on A4811 are being consulted on by Powys County Council.

Notice is hereby given that Powys County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 82 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

When this Order comes into effect, it will be unlawful to drive a vehicle at a speed exceeding thirty miles per hour along the length of road identified in the Schedule below.

A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the length of road concerned and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be viewed on the Council’s website at https://en.powys.gov.uk/article/10319/Llanidloes-Road-Newtown-30mph—Speed-Limit?

That length of the A4811 county classified highway known as Llanidloes Road which extends from a point approximately 146 metres west of its junction with the U4242 county unclassified highway Pavilion Court, in a south westerly direction to a point approximately 255 metres to the west of its junction with the C2025 county classified highway Heol Ashley at the college roundabout.
