During the 2022 local elections, I am asking the same three questions to every candidate in order to inform your decision making on the 5th May 2022. The answers to the questions are not edited and are a direct copy of the replies given.

1.What made you stand to be a county councillor?

I am standing as a County Councillor because I feel it is time for a change. Newtown West has returned a Conservative Councillor in the past and things have gone downhill.

Roads are not kept tidy, verges remain untrimmed, our streetlights went out, potholes are not filled, there has been more building in green spaces, parking issues have remained unaddressed, and our health service has struggled to serve those who need medical attention.

All these issues need tackling. Time for a change.

2. What are your top 3 priorities if elected?

Very difficult to prioritise these issues, however the health provision is literally vital, so that would be my priority, followed by parking and the environment.

3. Why should the voters in Newtown West elect you?

I am well known locally, I have participated in many groups and organisations, I have lived in the area for forty years and have spent that time trying to help others, both in my job and outside work. I am hard working, approachable, helpful and friendly.
