An election is being held for the Senedd, or the Welsh Parliament (formerly called the National Assembly for Wales) on Thursday 6th May 2021.
If you’re aged 16 or over, and you live in Wales, you can now vote in Senedd (Welsh Parliament) and local government elections.
The next Senedd election will take place on 6th May 2021, this will decide who leads the Welsh Government. The next local government elections will take place in May 2022.
You must register to be able to vote. Registration is simple, you can do this by using the UK Digital Registration service or by contacting your local registration office.
The deadline to register to vote in the Senedd election is midnight on 19 April 2021.
Candidates
The official candidate list should be published on 8 April 2021. We have however, provisionally identified some unofficial candidates.
