Banned Newtown driver caught for 11th time spared jail

A Newtown man has been spared an immediate prison sentence – despite admitting driving while disqualified for the ELEVENTH time.

Darren Williams was stopped by police near his home on April 28 this year driving a VW Beetle – the 55-year-old was at the time already the subject of a suspended jail term and a driving ban for a previous offence of driving while disqualified.
