With signs that the cost-of-living crisis not coming to an end any time soon, one of Newtown's largest employers' is offering its staff a one-off payment of £1,000 to help them cope with rising fuel, food and energy prices.

Electric motors and drives manufacturer Control Techniques has announced a special payment saying it felt the need to step in as a duty of care to its employees and support them in 'any way it can'
