The request, which will be considered by the Services Committee of the Town Council on Monday 12th September 2022 at 6:30pm, is for securing a formal arrangement for the Town Council to assist with maintenance of growing spaces in Newtown.
The request, from Cultivate, seeks to build upon the group of volunteers which upkeep the town park flower beds as part of the Wellbeing in Green Spaces Project in conjunction with Open Newtown.
The request seeks an initial enquiry to find out more and 'explore any possibility of a formal arrangement with NTC to support the maintenace of other growing spaces in the town'.
Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council currently oversee the maintenance of several areas of the town, including St Mary's churchyard through it's Outdoor Operations team which includes several outdoor staff members.
It is not known if the Town Council has further capacity to support the request.
