Man appears in court charged with having £100k of cocaine in Newtown

A man has appeared in court charged with cocaine supply offences after police discovered up to £104,000 worth of the drug in a car in Newtown.

Andrew Cornelius Debont was up before Welshpool magistrates on Tuesday, June 21, in relation to an incident on the A483 Newtown bypass in October 2020 in which, it is alleged, officers found 831.41 grams of the Class A drug in a vehicle.
