
Man faces trial at Welshpool court after denying harassing Newtown man

A Welshpool man will face trial later this year over accusations he harassed former County Councillor for Newtown over email and at his place of work.
Michael Nicholls, 56, appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on 23rd August 2022 where denied a charge of harrassment without violence earlier this year.
Mr Nicholls is accused of harrasing former County Councillor for Newtown West, Mark Barnes during January and February of this year.
Mr Barnes, who was elected for the Welsh Conservatives in May 2017, did not stand for re-election and stood down as a county councillor in May.
