Powys County Council has announced that the Newtown Household Waste Recycling Centre will be closed between Monday 17th October to Friday 21st October due to upgrades to drainage systems.

Essential planned works to upgrade the site's drainage system, will take place from Monday 17 October until Friday 21 October, with the centre reopening on Saturday 22 October.
Although the works will take five days to complete, they have been scheduled to ensure that the centre is only closed to the public for an additional three days, as it is normally closed on Thursdays and Fridays each week.
The County Council have said that recycling can be taken to one of the counties other Household Waste Recycling Centres.
