A man from Newtown who ran away from police because he was carrying cannabis was eventually charged with a total of three crimes.

When officers stopped to speak to Ben Ralph in Newtown on August 3 this year, the 25-year-old had only recently completed a court-ordered community punishment from a previous period of offending.
