Newtown woman fined for thefts from two Llandrindod shops

A POWYS woman has been fined and ordered to pay compensation to two businesses after “unsophisticated” thefts of alcohol on two occasions earlier this year.

Carla Dayas, 27, stole two cans of pink gin, a USB cable and a HDMI lead from Tesco in Llandrindod Wells on April 30 this year. She also stole seven cans of Smirnoff Cranberry valued at £16 belonging to Ridgebourne Service Station, also in Llandrindod, on March 27.
