A resident from Newtown has been disqualified from driving for six months after failing to identify the driver of his car.

Stephen Mackie, has been disqualified from driving for six months by Llanelli Magistrates' Court after failing to identify the driver of his Vauxhall Astra.

The court heard that he was found guilty of failing to provide information relating to the identification of the driver, who was accused of committing an offence in Carmarthenshire on June 14 last year.

The magistrates imposed a fine of £660 and a mandatory driving ban due to Mackie's history of repeat offending. In addition, his driving licence was endorsed with six penalty points, and he was ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a victim surcharge of £66.
