More plans have been revealed this weekend to demolish another building in Newtown
As posted on Facebook, a site notice for a Part 31 Demolition of a Building has been published at Croesawdy on New Road. This comes as plans were revealed to demolish the former Motorworld site in the centre of the town.
Croesawdy, the former site of the college in Newtown is not a listed building and the site notice has been published under permitted development rights. The plan includes demolition of all properties on the site. The site was last sold in 2003 for a sum of £210,000. You can download a copy of the title deeds for free here.
The plans are not final - with the applicant, a Mr H Bowen, asking Powys County Council to make a decision on the method of demolition and restoration of the site. The notice includes the proposed date of 10th October 2022 for demolition.
