A special meeting of the council's Resources Committee will be held to examine proposals for fencing costing £20,000 at the town playpark.

The Resources Committee of Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council is set to meet at a special meeting on Monday 25th July 2022 at 6pm to discuss taking £20,000 from reserves to fund new boundary fencing at the town play park.

The request comes from a Services Committee meeting, held last week, who have requested the funds from reserves to fund the works. Town Councillors will then refer the request to a meeting of the full council for a final decision.

Town Councillors will also discuss a proposal to take £3,000 from reserves for the Newtown Food Festival, due to increased costs.
