A Newtown town centre newsagents has made the shock announcement that it will close tomorrow (Saturday, February 18) after serving the community for decades.

Six members of staff were told on Thursday afternoon that News Express, also known locally as Stars, in Broad Street, that they will be made redundant after bosses said the shop will cease trading this weekend.
