A table tennis table is set to be installed near the town park as part of a new initiative to get more girls into sports.

As we reported in Septmeber, the town council were considering a request from Powys County Council to fund and install a table tennis table to encourage more girls into sports.

This month town councillors were told that the request has been accepted and installation will now take place. The table tennis table is weatherproof and built for outdoor areas.

The table will be funded by Powys County Council through it's Powys Together programme.
