Plans to build a pub, drive-thru coffee shop, petrol station and four-storey hotel near the Newtown Bypass are supported by the town council as long as the development does not have a detrimental impact on the town centre.

Melrose Bros Ltd would like to build the service station on land near the Lord David Davies roundabout and Glandulas caravan park.
