Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council are seeking members for it's proposed Town Partnership which would bring together the public, private and voluntary sectors

In a statement, the lead councillor for the project, Cllr Pete Lewington called for local organisations to join the town council in working in partnership to deliver for the future of the town.

Consequently, we are taking this opportunity to engage with local organisations such as yourselves and asking you all to join us in a partnership to deliver on the future of Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn.

By sharing the same understanding of how our community wants to develop we can work together toward the same objectives. We want to create a Town Partnership where public, private and voluntary sector organisations work in partnership for the benefit of our Town by creating long term sustainability of the community – economic, social and environmental.

We are well aware that local organisations are an important part of our local community and possess an invaluable wide range of knowledge, skills and expertise that could be utilised by them taking an active role in influencing and enabling others to achieve the outcomes set out in the strategic business plan.

Once we have built these firm foundations, we would look to develop the Town Partnership into one that could “do more of the doing” and focus on possible topics such as developing a cohesive strategic plan for town centre usage.

We want to work with local organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to make this partnership work and ask you to join us and take the opportunity to influence and co-ordinate through communications and building working relationships what each sector can contribute in delivering our Town’s future.

If you are interested in joining, please complete the survey below by 28th Nov’22. https://tinyurl.com/2p9haxds
