Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council have launched a survey to seek views on establishing a town partnership.
A survey from the Town Council on the future of a town partnership in Newtown has today been launched.
The survey aims to gauge whether there is an appetite for a Town Partnership, and to invite potential contributors to a Town Partnership to it express an interest.
The idea for a town partnership originated in the Newtown Place Plan which was developed with the local community between 2019-2021.
Town Clerk, Ed Humphreys said:
“The Town Council invites your organisation to express an interest in being part of a Town Partnership of Public, Private, and Voluntary sectors working together and speaking together, to influence and co-ordinate what each sector can contribute to the future of the community.
A Town Partnership will try to bring together the assets of knowledge, skills and experience in Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn to work toward the long term sustainable benefit of the community – economic, social, and environmental.
The emphasis is on working and speaking together for the common good of the community as a whole and help make it a better place for everyone to live, learn, work and visit.”
Closing date for submissions to the survey is 30th April 2022.
