Newtown North (elects 1 councillor)
Newtown North, replacing Newtown Llanllwchaiarn North was last won in 2017 by Dan Rowlands (Conservative) taking it from the Liberal Democrats. The incumbent, Dan Rowlands is standing again. The ward has elected either a Liberal Democrat or Conservative at every election since 2004.

Newtown Central and South, replacing Newtown Central and Newtown South and being merged into one ward. Newtown Central was last won in 2017 by David Selby (Liberal Democrat). Newtown South was last won in a by-election by Les Skilton (Conservative), but he switched to be an independent councillor before the end of this current term. Both the incumbents, David Selby and Les Skilton are standing again.
