What measures can we expect to be relaxed and announced tomorrow?
Welsh cabinet members will consider the latest scientific evidence before First Minister Mark Drakeford announces any changes on Friday, February 19.
There have been warnings that any easing of the current rules will be “minimal” and Mr Drakeford has warned that any changes will be “marginal”. An updated roadmap out of lockdown will also be published on Friday.
Primary school pupils in the Foundation Phase years, aged three to seven are due to return to school on Monday, February 22 in most areas of Wales.
What could be lifted?
For a month the Welsh Government has said that all the headroom at the next lockdown review will be used to start the re-opening of schools.
However with infections rates for Wales dipping below 100 cases per 100,000 and test positivity below 10% (a key indicator) decision-makers in the government have said they are actively considering taking further limited steps beyond just bringing foundation-level students back to school.
