Eleven food banks across Powys, including the one in Newtown have benefitted from the latest round of Welsh Government Direct Food Support grants.
They have each received a share of a total of £30,199, which has been distributed by Powys County Council.
The grant funding is aimed at supporting foodbanks to buy additional supplies and to help them cover their running costs as winter approaches.

The food bank in Newtown ran by the Salvation Army has recieved a share of the pot. Other food banks include Brecon, Builth Wells, Welshpool and Llanidloes.
Cllr Matthew Dorrance, Powys County Council's Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for a Fairer Powys, said:
"I'm really pleased that we have been able to help our food banks, which are sadly facing a burgeoning demand, by distributing this grant.
"They do a sterling job of supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our communities and if you need their help, please reach out to them."
