In a bid to revitalise the beauty of Newtown, local resident Gill Bridgwater has taken the initiative to rally the community around a cause that's close to their hearts.
Gill has identified several areas of the town that are in need of some serious sprucing up, stating that they "look awful at the moment." The designated areas that have caught her attention include Severn Square, Back Lane by the old Court Houses, and the Gas Street Car Park.
She is fervently urging those responsible for maintaining these spaces to take action and restore the town's charm. With a sense of civic duty, she is also calling upon fellow local residents to step up and join her in a community effort to tidy up Newtown.
Gill's message is simple yet powerful: "If you want to see change, don't leave it to someone else - give me a call, come down with your broom, shovel, gloves, and shovels. The town center needs you!"
