The voting results from yesterday's Powys County Council meeting reveal who voted for cheaper parking and who voted against.
As we reported yesterday, a bid to bring back one our car parking was rejected by county councillors. The idea, put forward by Newtown county councillor, Pete Lewington was to reduce the charge for up to one hour parking in both short stay and long stay car parks to just £1 with effect from 1st November 2023.
The move came as the one hour parking charge was removed earlier this year and the cost of a two hour ticket increased.
The voting results have now been published, showing which way each county councillor voted. The county councillors for Newtown are shown below. The full list of votes can be found here.
