In a statement by the school, Headteacher, Rob Edwards exended his congratulations to its accomplished students for their commendable performance in this year's examinations. Mr. Edwards lauded the collective achievement, describing the outcomes as "strong."

Among the standout achievers is Georgia Powell (Head Girl), who secured an impressive trio of A grades and an A, thereby securing a place at Liverpool University to pursue her passion for veterinary science.

Matthew Watkin (Head Boy), achieved three B grades and a C, positioning himself for enrollment at Chester University, where he will delve into the study of Law.

Libby Morris, with three A grades and a B, is set to venture into Health and Social Care at Cardiff Met University. Kate Soong, with two A grades, one B, and a C, is destined to further her education in Social Work at the University of Wolverhampton.  Kimberley Williams, boasting two B grades, 1 Merit, and a C, is currently engaged in an apprenticeship. Sofia Morales, who earned an A*, alongside two A grades, has her sights on studying Neuroscience at University College London.

Noteworthy accomplishments at the AS level include the achievements of Mia Davies, securing three A grades, Dylan Ramirez-Chavez with one A and three Bs, and Darcey Jones, who garnered two Bs and a C.

Expressing his pride in the 2023 Sixth Form cohort, Mr. Edwards remarked:

"Our 2023 cohort of Sixth Form students have been an incredible year group and have contributed so much to our school community over the last 7 years. The students have worked extremely hard and shown incredible resilience during some very challenging conditions.”

"It was a pleasure to see the students collecting their results today, and achieving some outstanding grades. I would like to thank all of our school staff who have worked tirelessly in adapting and supporting our students through this difficult and challenging period.

"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our parents and carers whose support has helped our students to achieve so much.”

"Good luck to all of our students as they embark on the next stages of their education, careers and future. We wish you every success.”

Powys County Council announce that it was pleased to hear of the many learners who have achieved the results that they needed to make to progress onto their next step to an exciting future, either at university, into an apprenticeship or into the workplace.

Cllr Pete Roberts, Cabinet Member for a Learning Powys, said:

"I would like to congratulate all our learners who have received their results today.

"I'm extremely proud of the achievements of all our learners and I'm delighted to hear the stories of their success.

"I want to thank everyone at the schools who have supported their learners through their exams and also thank the families who have played a vital role in supporting and encouraging their children throughout their education.

"I wish all our learners all the best for their next chapter."
