Newtown man fined over £1,000 for speeding on motorway

A Newtown man caught speeding at nearly 100 miles per hour in a 40mph zone on a motorway has learned a harsh lesson after he fined over £1,000.

Wayne Victor Sidell, from Newtown, was caught driving on the M5 in Worcestershire on September 16 last year. The 55-year-old was driving his Audi between junctions 6 to 4A northbound when the area was subject to a variable speed limit.
