Nominations have officially opened for Celebration of Newtown awards, scheduled for the 10th of April 2024.

Organised by Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council, the event aims to shine a spotlight on individuals, groups, and organizations that have made exceptional positive contributions to Newtown and its surrounding areas over the past year.

With an array of diverse award categories, the town is set to honor those who have gone above and beyond to make Newtown a better place. The awards include:

  1. Newtown Volunteer of the Year Award:
  2. Young Person or Youth Group of the Year Award
  3. Local Business of the Year Award
  4. Climate & Sustainability Award
  5. Sports Award
  6. Creative Arts Contribution Award

Residents and community members are encouraged to participate by nominating deserving candidates for these prestigious awards. Nominations can be submitted online using the button below until midday on the 5th of February.
