The works, estimated to last six weeks, will be carried out by contractors SDW, although potential delays due to bad weather may extend the duration.

In a letter to residents, County Councillor Pete Lewington said:

"I wanted to share some positive news with you; we will soon see the completion of the road resurfacing works at Brynmor Parc, Brynmor Avenue and Brynmor Close."

"This means following many years of having to put up with a poorly conditioned road, works will take place, and the council will take responsibility for the roads going forward."

"Several residents have been in contact with me regarding progress on the adoption of these roads and associated works, including the completion of the resurfacing of the roads so I thought I would let all residents know the latest position."

"I have been working closely with Russell George MS on this matter and I am pleased to let you know that we have been told that there is a start date of Monday 16th October 2023 for the work to begin on the preparation elements, before moving on to the tarmacking these roads."

"We have been advised that the work which will be carried out by local contractor (SDW) and is scheduled to last for 6 weeks, though there may be some delays if the weather turns very bad."

"As you would expect with works of this nature there will be some disruption and delays, though hopefully these will be kept to a minimum.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please let me know."
