The Powys County Council is encouraging residents to take part in the ongoing Powys Leisure Review, stating that there is still time to offer their valuable input.

The review, which commenced on Monday 3rd July, aims to assess various aspects including the availability, usage, operational costs, environmental impact, and condition of existing leisure facilities. Additionally, it seeks to explore alternative active leisure opportunities accessible to the people of Powys.

Cabinet Member for a More Prosperous Powys, Cllr David Selby said:

"To expand on the participation and financial data we already have available, we are asking for your views to help us design a sustainable leisure offer for the future.

"This survey forms part of a county wide public engagement to give as many people as possible the opportunity to both give their views and ideas to improve and support our leisure facilities.

"I encourage as many people as possible to have their say in this important part of our leisure review."

To participate in the review and engage in the online exercise, individuals are encouraged to visit the dedicated website: https://www.haveyoursaypowys.wales/powys-leisure-review-2023.

Alternatively, paper copies of the survey can be obtained from local libraries. Once completed, residents can return the survey to staff at either a Powys Library or a Freedom Leisure Centre.

There is also an option to scan the survey and email it to [email protected].

Residents are requested to submit their responses before the closing date of Monday 28 August 2023.
