Nigel Brinn, the Executive Director for Economy and Environment at Powys County Council, will be leaving his position to take on the role of Chief Executive at the Forest of Dean District Council, the council has confirmed.
In a statement, Interim Chief Executive Jack Straw expressed gratitude for Nigel's dedication and hard work during his nine years at Powys County Council.
Nigel started as the Head of Highways before being promoted to the position of Executive Director in 2018.

Confirming his acceptance of the role as Chief Executive Officer at the Forest of Dean District Council, Nigel revealed that it was a difficult decision to make after his long tenure at Powys.
However, he expressed his excitement at the new opportunity both personally and professionally. Throughout his time at Powys, Nigel experienced a wide range of responsibilities and interesting projects, which he considered to be significant milestones in his career.
