With its focus on promoting kindness and tackling poverty in the area, this festival promises to be an event that will leave everyone with a sense of fulfillment and joy.

The Newtown Kindness Festival is an annual community event that aims to celebrate and encourage acts of kindness while also raising awareness about anti-poverty strategies in the region. Thanks to the generous support of various local businesses and organizations, the festival is free for all attendees, making it an accessible and inclusive event for the entire community.

Last year's festival was a massive success, drawing in a diverse crowd of residents and visitors alike. Over 50 stands were present, offering a wide range of free food, entertainment, and activities that attendees could enjoy.

This year, the organizers are taking it up a notch with even more exciting activities and attractions lined up. Festival-goers can look forward to inflatables, a petting zoo, face painting, hair braiding, circus acts, live music, and much more!

The Newtown Kindness Festival isn't just about providing a day of amusement; it's an opportunity for people to come together, connect, and experience the power of compassion. By participating in various acts of kindness and engaging in fun activities, festival attendees can feel the positive impact of their actions on the community.

Cllr Joy Jones said:

“We would like to say a huge thank you to all of the organisations and businesses supporting the event through donations, sponsorship, helping to organise the event behind the scenes and delivering the community event on the day.”

As the festival date approaches, excitement is building within the Newtown community. Residents are eagerly looking forward to a day filled with smiles, laughter, and heartwarming moments. It's a chance for everyone to come together, share in the spirit of kindness, and make a positive difference in each other's lives.

Stuart Owen, Open Newtown CEO said:

“A special thanks go to Control Techniques for their sponsorship and invaluable behind the scenes support, and a hearty congratulations on their 50th Anniversary”.

So, mark your calendars for Saturday, 19th August, and head down to the Newtown Town Hall grounds from 11am to 4pm. Join in the festivities, participate in acts of kindness, and let the Newtown Kindness Festival 2023 be a reminder of the incredible impact we can have when we come together as a caring and compassionate community.
