Transport for Wales has announced that the Cambrian line will be operating on an amended timetable, while services on the Heart of Wales line will be cancelled on Thursday, November 2, 2023.

According to a spokesperson for Transport for Wales, the Cambrian line will have a revised timetable with pre-planned bus replacement services between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth.

Additionally, train services between Machynlleth and Shrewsbury will run every two hours instead of the usual hourly frequency.

Meanwhile, there will be no services available on the Heart of Wales line between Swansea and Shrewsbury on Thursday, November 2. Passengers are strongly advised against travelling on this route, as no rail replacement services will be provided.

Transport for Wales has urged passengers to stay updated on the latest information before planning their journeys in the coming days.

Flooding is expected, and speed restrictions will be implemented on various routes across the Wales and Borders network due to the forecasted extreme winds and rain. Consequently, travel times may be longer than usual, and there is a possibility of last-minute changes or cancellations to services.

Passengers holding tickets for Thursday, November 2, are allowed to use them on Friday, November 3. They are also advised to check tfw.wales for the most recent updates. Ticket acceptance with other operators may also be available.
