According to the report, £2,000 was allocated for the scheme, but only eight grants were requested, amounting to a maximum total of £100 per grant. The grants will be disbursed upon receipt of the necessary items.
The local events were planned for the following locations:
- Newtown Tennis Club
- Campion Close
- Brynmor Close
- Treowen Community Hall
- Newtown Army Cadet Building
- Lon Afallen and Llys Afallen
- Mill Fields
An estimated 220 people were expected to attend one of these events.
The Resources Committee will consider the report at their next meeting on the 15th May 2023.
